About me
About Me
I currently serve as the Lead School Social Worker for the Kern High School District, supporting a dedicated team of 29 school social workers through case consultation, Tier 3 systems development, and improving how we support students navigating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I also hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Social Work and Child Welfare and Attendance. With 10 years of experience at KHSD as a School Social Worker, my work has focused on strengthening school-based mental health systems, building staff capacity, and helping students succeed by building supports that meet their individual needs. Before my experience at KHSD, I worked in medical social work, where I supported patients and families in navigating complex healthcare systems, addressing psychosocial needs, and coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams.
