About me
I am a proud graduate of Arvin High School, Class of 2000, originally from Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry University in 2003 and later completed a Master of Arts in Teaching from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2022. My career in education began as a bilingual instructional assistant in special education at East High (2015–2016), followed by teaching 7th and 8th-grade math at Richland Junior High in Shafter (2016–2018). I then spent several years teaching 8th grade and Algebra 1 at Mt. View Middle School in Lamont (2019–2025), where I also led the STEAM Club for three years. Currently, I am in my first year teaching Algebra 1 at Foothill High School. I am passionate about education, family, sports, and food, and I also enjoy podcasting. With four years of experience using ParentSquare, I strive to build strong connections with students and families through effective communication.
